Two-Fic Tuesday

Welcome!

On this fine Tuesday, I bring you two stories. Our first one is from Baffling, and our second is Small Wonders. (I bet you can't guess my favorite story length.) These stories have very different vibes but I came away loving both of them, so I hope you will too.

Sonskins - Dare Segun Falowo
Fuck, this made me so deeply uncomfortable, but I also loved it. Chilling and unsettling, and something that's going to stick in my brain for a while. Great work, even as it makes me squirm.

Any Good Sacrifice - C. J. Subko
This was so fairy tale in the best of ways. The repetition was perfect and the whole story came together beautifully to be something I truly enjoyed. Stuff like this is why I dig flash so much.

You're also getting a third story today because I read this last weekend and absolutely fell in love.

Written on the Subway Walls - Jennifer Hudak
I knew I was going to love this story from the very start. I love non-traditional perspectives, and this was no exception. It was beautiful and made my heart hurt in such a good way. I really, really treasured reading this story and am so excited to share it with anyone who might not have senn it already.

Be well, take care, and I hope you read something lovely this week.
