Two Fic Tuesday

Welcome!

This week beings a bit of an odd pair of stories, but two that feel good to read together. They balanced each other well for me, and in the end left me feeling a little better after I was done with them.

Recs

No Laughter in a Vacuum - Anna Clark - Flash Fictin Online
Oh, this stuck in my heart a little. I know of the feelings in this story, and maybe it won't hit the same way for everyone, but it did me. I love the idea of this being something that you could get work for, but I love even more that the protagonist breaks away from that and tries to learn who she is.

Sandwiches for the Soul - Michael M. Jones - Factor Four
Oh, this was the sweetest thing! I love anything that has a theme of food (or drinks. Especially drinks) bringing comfort and healing. This was such a perfect version of that story, and it left me with a smile on my face and the desire to make something nice for someone I care about.

Be well, take care, and I hope you read something lovely this week.
