Two-Fic Tuesday

Welcome!

This week I come to you with a couple of more unsettling tales. I read both of these last week and definitely wanted to share them for everyone who's into some creepy weirdness.

St Dymphnas School for Borderland Girls - Jocelyn Szczepaniak-Gillece - Weird Horror Magazine
What a delightfully weird tale. I'm always a fan of teenage girls coming into their own, and the backdrop of this strange sort of apocalypse is right up my alley. There was something rich and delicious (pun intended) about this and I was super here for the ride.

Landline - Kelly Robson - Reactor
Well, this sure was creepy as all get out. So full of tension and I tore through it just to see what was going on. I know some people may not be a fan of the ending, but I thought it was the right kind of eerie.

And sure, let's do a third one. One day you'll only get two stories, I swear. This one may not be as creepy, but still feels intense in it's own way.

Dreadful Necessity Governs All Things - Rien Gray - Baffling
I loved every word of this. It's gorgeous and powerful, and I really just loved everything about it. Anything that talks about the power we have with words and narrative is always going to be a win for me and this was absolutely one of those pieces.

Be well, take care, and I hope you read something lovely this week.
