Two-Fic Tuesday

Welcome!

Today we've got two stories that were both different kinds of brain candy to me. Yes, they both have some body horror elements to them, but also, I just enjoyed everything these stories were doing so much. I also have learned that I really need to start keeping up with The Orange And Bee.

Oh, I sunk my teeth right into this. I love seeing people play with fairy tales (hence how I got to reading this venue at all) and this sort of thing in particular was just fantastic. I loved the darkness to it, but the ultimately sweet ending left me smiling more than I expected and that was a great experience.

The Pack - Christi Nogle - Underland Arcana
I love body horror so much, and I love themes of packs/families/closeness like this. And I fucking love plants being invasive and horrifying. Which is to say this was goddamn catnip for me and I have zero regrets putting this into my eyeballs.
