Two-Fic Tuesday
Welcome!
This week we have two stories that made me happy. Sometimes that's what you need, and it's where I'm at right now. Both of these are things that left me feeling a little better after I read them and I hope they do the same for you.
Recs
What the Birds Taught Me - Nico Martinez Nocito - Heartlines
This is soft and kind, even in the way things are hurt. It was a quiet piece of healing and care, and I loved it for that. Also, we know how I feel about birds, and anything that talks about things like assistive technology as ways to adapt and flourish is a thing I'm interested in seeing more of.
Transubstantiation - Sam W. Pisciotta - Flash Fiction Online
Oh, this is so strange, and soft, and lovely. The way this unfolds is almost gentle, and the closeness between all three of them is so sweet. This family is peculiar, but they are together and I love that.
Be well, take care, and I hope you read something lovely this week.

PS: If you want to find me elsewhere, I'm on Bluesky at @howsweetthewords and I have a Ko-fi and Patreon where I post prompts, more personal/writing updates, micro-fiction, and miscellany. Tiers start at $1, but there is the occasional free post as well.
