Two Fic Cuesday for June 23rd

Hi, hello and welcome!

This week I come with two stories that feel kind. Yes, this happens in different ways, but there's a sense of care and gifting safety in both of them and I loved that. Maybe you're having a hard go of things right now, but these might just bring you a little comfort.

ONE SAFE ROUTE THROUGH THE PSYCH-BELT GHOST-HOUSES - Allison Mulder - Stanchion Zine
I don't know why I love this quite as much as I do, but here we are. The format it's done in, the description of each house. All of it just won me over and I loved it so much. There are some banger lines in this one too and I found myself reading this twice to enjoy it.

Biter - Michelle Knudsen - Adventitious
This was super sweet and made me smile. I love the balance of uncertainty and doubt that gets to bloom into something soft and kind. This is sweet, and warm, and made me feel a little bit better by the time I was finished with it which is sometimes all you want out of a story.

I wish all of you many good stories,

PS: If you want to find me elsewhere, I'm on Bluesky at @howsweetthewords and I have a Ko-fi and Patreon where I post prompts, more personal/writing updates, microfiction, and miscellany. Tiers start at $1, but there is the occasional free post as well.
