Two Fic Tuesday for May 5th

Hi, hello and welcome!

This week we're talking about bodies. About the body you have, and the one you could have, and about what will happen for you to get one you like better, or perhaps one that you didn't get to choose. This topic is one I feel close to as a trans person, and it was fascinating for me to stumble across both so close together.

Recs

The Bodyhouse - Bree Wernicke - Baffling
Oh, this story. It makes me squirm and ache a little bit. I loved it so much, but it made me squirm. It resonated with me more than I thought it would, and in a way I can't really articulate, but hit me hard and almost threw me off a little. I loved it so much, even as I wound up wincing a little.

Upload in Progress - R. F. Daniels - Tall Tale TV
I really enjoyed seeing a trans person take on this general theme. I'm not sure if I agree or disagree with what the story says, but I also think that both sides are talked about and I appreciated that. This was a quiet story in a way, but one I really enjoyed, and the ending did make me smile.

I wish all of you many good stories,
